Songwriter Bang Shi-hyuk Produces Wang Lee Hom's Album

Famous Korean songwriter Bang Shi-hyuk has produced the new album of top Taiwanese star Wang Lee Hom (featured in photo). Bang is a songwriter/producer who became the first Korean musician to have a song top the Billboard chart, which occurred in August. The song, entitled "The Love You Need," was co-written by Bang and Park Jin-young for the hip-hop artist Mase. In Korea, Bang has produced albums for Rain, G.O.D., Park Ji-yun, Noeul and Five, among others.

Wang, whose new album includes Bang's songs, is a top-rated singer, songwriter, and producer who has sold over 10 million copies of his album in Asia alone. He has also become popular in Korea after he appeared on MTV Buzz Asia, which was held in Korea last year, and performed with such Korean artists as Na Mi-ae, F4 and BoA.

Bang and Wang released the new album together at the request of a Japanese corporation that is looking to establish a presence in China with the help of the Korean entertainment industry known in Asia as “hallyu.” The corporation is currently preparing a massive promotion campaign in China in cooperation with Korean showbiz gurus such as Bang Shi-hyuk and Cho Jin-mo.
After completing his project with Wang, Bang is scheduled to produce albums for other artists in the Chinese-speaking region, including Niwels, Han Sel, Ka Yu-ryun and Jin Kang.
