Coco to add glamour to World Peace fest
PETALING JAYA: Andy Lau, Edmond Leung, Coco Lee, Lee Hom and F4 will be among the artistes performing at the World Peace Day Festival at Berjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur on Sept 17.
Peace lovers are urged to be at that venue from Sept 16 to 21 for the six-day festival, themed Engineering Global Economy For Peace with activities like batik painting and fashion show.
There will also be an exhibition, cultural dances and live bands.
To kick off the festival, a series of road shows featuring the Art for Peace, a project to make the longest hand painted batik, are taking place at shopping centres, schools and colleges.
The event is organised by the Sun Yat Sen Centre for Peace and Education Bhd and co-organised by the MCA's culture and arts bureau, SMI Association of Malaysia, Malaysia Peace Foundation, Best Brand Council, MFIA and International Cultural Interchange Association.
The event is under the patronage of Deputy Culture, Arts and Heritage Minister Datuk Wong Kam Hoong.
